This place has permanently closed, and it's a good thing! Very dry, overpriced pasty, yuck! It looks great in the case but dry and tasteless once you try it. Plus, at $6-$8 for one pastry, was too expensive. Glad it has closed down. I heard the owner couldn't pay his taxes or something.

Been going to Pitchfork for years, but I always find their lists pretty crappy and this one is no exception.

The best list for me to discover new music has been the end of year best music you haven't heard or something like that from the Onion. Discovered The Kingdom that way.

Haven't tried the Cuban at the Times, but I love the Cuban pork sandwiches at Oakwood Cafe. They are excellent.

The Club Sandwich at The Remedy is fantastic - and HUGE! Raleigh Times' Grilled Cheddar, Tomato & Avacado is also a winner, as is their Shrimp Burger. (Cilantro Tartar sauce - YUM!)

I love the ABC too, but the Rockford's crabcake sandwich is really good too. I also love the baked chicken breast sandwich at Boondini's at Celebration at Six Forks...has really good cucumber dressing and awesome bread.

Third Place's "Plethora" has always been a favorite....though with their shortened hours these days, I get it rarely. But it's still high on my list.

The ABC is their best, but I would definitely encourage you to try other sandwiches at the Rockford - that place is my favorite place in town to get a sandwich, mainly because of the delicious diversity.

The project folded but if I need a webhost I'm planning on going to them again.

Sooo glad to see this! There are quite a few local bloggers these days, but I say the more the merrier. Each has its own slant on what is cool in Raleigh. Put them all together and your really get a fingerprint on what Raleigh is about (ie none of us can adequately cover all of this stuff alone!). While I'm really not so much into visual arts, others could not care less that some musical is coming to Memorial Auditorium. To each his own, that's cool (said like the VW to the Prius owner).

There will certainly be some overlap, and that's fine, too. I have no problem with 15 blogs all reporting that Dunkin' Donuts is moving to Hillsborough St. Each covers it in their own unique way, citing the business impact, traffic impacts, etc with each story.

Brevity is a virtue I once read, so I'll stop my rambling. WELCOME BACK!!

i tried to upload it to youtube but, my phone is the samsung that flips.. the Upstage..and the video format is not supported by youtube...sad....
and byw, i know the guy who owns the yellow ferrari and the RR..His name is German ...he owns some night clubs here...like the "Red Room" in DownTown..
lol i know him cus we played paintball together...
also i saw the lambo Diablo at downtown too...
man raleigh is full of nice cars!!

The coffee is great now! They got a new coffee guy in who knows what he's doing. Every time my friends or I have been in there the place has had customers in the coffee bar or having lunch. Food's great. New organic nut section going in soon!! Can't wait.
